Who We Are

About Captain Sandy

With a name like Sandy, it’s more than just coincidence that being around the water is something that comes natural to him. Born in Florida, Sandy has lived all of his life in the Sunshine State. With a family that loved boating and fishing, and world reknown flyfishing guide Capt. Paul Tejera as a brother, fishing and boating trips were a very big part of growing up in Florida.

While Sandy excelled as a student athlete at Southwest High School, Unity College in Maine offered Sandy a full athletic scholarship in 1981. After only one semester, Sandy returned to Miami where he attended MDCC and the University of Miami. This return home made Sandy rekindle his love for the water and his love of the beauty that the Florida Keys has to offer. It’s important to know that when in Florida your never more than 60 miles away from the sea.

“I enjoy cruising the coast and seeing the Florida Keys as they should be seen, aboard a boat.” “You can go to a sand bar, have lunch on the water, shop, hand feed the tarpon, hit the tiki bars, watch a breath taking sunset, and never see a stop sign!” “ You get a totally different view of the Keys when your experiencing them on the water.”Says Capt. Sandy Tejera.

Sandy knows that everyone in the Keys agrees, viewing these beautiful islands by boat is best.

Sandy has opened Florida Keys Charters.com to give everyone who visits here the opportunity to see the Keys like a native. With Sandy’s love of the water and the Florida Keys, combined with his outgoing and likeable personality, it’s obvious why he is becoming one of the most likeable and popular guides in the Florida Keys.

Sandy also understands the importance of first class service. Catering to the clients needs are Sandy’s specialty. He will go out of his way to make sure when you enter his islands you fall in love with them with the same passion he shares of them.

For fun in the sun in the Florida Keys, Capt. Sandy Tejera is your ticket to paradise......
